1.United States banking giant Citigroup will cut 52,000 jobs by early next year to shore up profits and it's stock price. The move is on top of 23,000jobs already axed this year.
I think people who need jobs are more desperate as jobs are alraedy hard to get and now the number of jobs are decreased.Citibank employs about 9,000 staff. It is not clear how many will be affected be affected by the latest cuts.
2.Got $500,000 if so,the training hall at the Singapore Table Tennis Association could be named after you.In turn /the money will be used to develope local youth talent and for the welfare of national players after they retire.
I think that it's like a charity but in return you get to name a place so famous for sports in your name. It's like an invesment by giving money to people so that they can be well [furnished?].

Dear Brand,
Please take note of the following comments to improve.
1) Your comments have to be more indepth. See HLin's blog for example. You can also tell me how this would affect your family and Singapore. Do you think it is ethically for Banks to cut jobs? If you have no ideas, choose another news.
2) What you have written is more like elaboration rather than opinions. Opinions are your views not explanation. Eg do you think it is right to name a hall after a person who donates $? Why do you think the organisers do this? Would such events encourage any wrong morals in Singaporeans?
